101 WAYS TO SOLVE WATER ISSUES

I.Introduction:
One of the biggest issues in Singapore is the lack of water. With about 5,6 millions people, it is stated that 143 litres of water is consumed everyday. The reason why they still have that amount of water is because of the four national taps and of course, there are many problems that need to be taken into consideration. Before thinking of having other solutions to have more water, I think everyone firstly should be responsible and save the water.
II.How to save water:
Managing water demand is as important as securing an adequate supply of water. These are all the ways to save water that I have found in the internet and from my experience and perspective:
     1. Instead of singing in the shower, you can go to the music room.
A lot of people spend almost an hour taking a shower even though all they have done in there is only washing their body with soap and cleansing it. Moreover, I observe that some people even relax by soaking themselves in water when taking a bath. To my belief, with that amount of water, it is too much to be wasted. Therefore, I believe that people should be reduced the time to take a shower at least 5 minutes per day and we can save 1000 gallons of water for a month.

                                                                                   2. Push hard for your water

I do realize that in Singapore, they change all the faucet into the one that only allows the water to flow in the specific amount of time. Hence, it will prevent people from letting the water tap open and doing something else, which normally wastes a lot of water. From my point of view, this should be more popular and even with countries that have a rich source of water, still, they should have an awareness of water crisis happening someday.

3. Use less electricity
We can gain electricity from hydroelectric power. Also, Power plants use thousands of gallons of water to cool. Do your part to conserve power, and you’re indirectly saving water, too!

4. Don't use it

Once, back in Vietnam, I had an experience of not having water for a whole day. Even I lived in condominium, they still cut all the water from the building. It was the worst day ever happening to me but still luckily, the toilet can still be flushed. That day, I could not wash my hand, could not boil anything or cook anything with water and I only had a little of water to brush my teeth. That feeling of feeling sticky and annoying just could not make me do anything else except for waiting magic happens to the water. Nevertheless, after this experience, I start appreciating my life and all the water I have for surviving.
