EXPERIENCE TO NEWATER PLANT
Actually, it was not a long journey, I don't even know if this could be counted as a journey....Firstly, I'm going to talk about the view outside the factory. After a long time on the bus, we finally arrived at the NEWater plant, which was close to the airport and we could see planes approaching almost every minute.
As I step out of the bus, the beautiful scenery outside the factory caught my eyes.
Outside the factory was a giant pool with water which seemed pure and formed a gorgeous view with the factory. The reflections of the trees and building lay on the water have given the tourists a feeling of easiness.
The first thing a saw in the museum was a big curving wall with more than a hundred separate mini screens on it, showing where we would use water in our lives. I assumed the purpose of it was to remind people that nearly every single thing that we did involved water.
The guide showed us a video on the big screen inside the museum, but camera was not allowed, so no video taken by me.The main point of the video was to show the importance of water and where Singapore's water came from.
Deeper we went, the next room showed a lot of information about Singapore's water sources. On the touch pad showed the Four National Taps of Singapore which were already mentioned in the chapter before. Here, I'm just going to show some pictures taken.
Another part of the room was a structure of water tubes, which I think represent the tubes that transport water form the reservoirs to families.
The other parts of the room I'll only show pictures considering too much information to show and I assume just take a look at those are enough for you.
The next room showed the concept "Make Every Drop Count". It's like the history of the NEWater Plant, about its foundation and improvement. The incidents of the NEWater Plant were marked on the glass and shown clearly the development of the factory.
The next part was "The NEWater Story". It was about the ways of using NEWater water and the amount of NEWater water used as well as the names of the branches.
I guess you have seen the process of purifying water in the chapter written by Jingxuan. Too many words will be unnecessary. However, some pictures are not shown in her chapter,I assume these pictures can help you understand the process better.
Then the journey was over, although it was short, it was really vivid and practical. The guide said "If you have any questions please ask me". Then, somehow, she vanished .Anyway, it was an interesting experience. Finally,I have some photos to show which were taken at the end of the journey.
That's it.Thank you for reading.
